Our story began with Leonard Rwodzi 20 years ago through his simple love for gardens.

Leonard Rwodzi
Leonard Rwodzi arrived in the UK in 2001 with a BSc in Crop Science and a horticultural diploma. He had 8 years' experience in Commercial Landscape Management, ultimately managing the city gardens in Harare.
From 2002 - 2010 he was Head Gardener of a major country estate in Oxfordshire (74 acres of gardens in a much larger estate), before starting his own garden maintenance company in 2010. Alongside this, he gained a BSc in Garden Design from University of Portsmouth in 2014.
He then completed over 40 large and small garden design projects and ran over 250 garden maintenance contracts, mostly in south central England and London. In 2021 he brought together the two businesses as Shagari UK Ltd.
